IMAlerts Network and Software Requirements
IMAlerts consists of 3 modules:
- IMAlerts feature.
- IMAlerts database.
- IMAlerts Server (sometimes referred to as
IMAlerts Delivery Server in the documentation).
There are also specific network connectivity-related requirements.
IMAlerts Feature Requirements

Windows SharePoint Services v3 (WSS 3.0)
or
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007).
IMAlerts Database Requirements
-
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (Express Edition or higher)
or
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (Express Edition or higher).

Mixed Authentication mode (SQL Server authentication).
IMAlerts Delivery Server Requirements

Supported operating systems:
32-bit (x86) and
64-bit (x86-64) Windows, including
Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2,
Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2.
The latest Service Pack is strongly recommended.

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Runtime, Service Pack 1 (or later).
Network Requirements
- All WFE (Web Frontend) and Application servers in the SharePoint Web Farm must
have a connection to the IMAlerts database.
- IMAlerts Server must have a connection to the IMAlerts database.
- Internet connection is required when IMAlerts licenses are being installed and activated.
- In most deployment scenarios, Internet connection is required for the IMAlerts
Delivery Server to connect to the XMPP network/server.

IMAlerts Server must have a connection to the XMPP network. A port which will
be used by IMAlerts Server to connect to the XMPP server, must be open in your firewall.
This can be one of the following ports: 443, 5223, 5222, or 80 (depending on your
XMPP network settings).
