IMAlerts Licensing Requirements
IM Alerts Editions
IM Alerts for SharePoint comes in three editions: Standard, Express, and Trial.

Express Edition
- Express Edition can be used in Production, Development, Quality Assurance,
and testing/staging environments.
- Express Edition has limited features.
- Express Edition has can be converted to Standard Edition.
Standard Edition
- Standard Edition includes all features.
- Standard Edition license is required for each
WFE (Web Frontend) server in a SharePoint Web Farm.
Example: If your SharePoint Farm consists of 1 database server and 2 Web
Frontend servers, you need 2 licenses.
- Standard and Express Edition licenses are
perpetual (they never expire).
- Standard Edition licenses are valid
for all 1.* versions of IM Alerts.
Trial Edition
- Trial Edition is FREE and has the same functionality as Standard
Edition, but the free Trial expires in 30 days after installation.
- Trial Edition license is installed and activated automatically
when IMAlerts is installed.
- When a free 30-day Trial Edition license expires, it automatically
becomes an Express Edition.
- Trial Edition can be converted to
Standard Edition.
Support
- Priority Support can be purchased on an annual basis for each
server.
- Priority Support is available both for a Standard Edition and for
an Express Edition.
